Date: 2004-11-28 12:04 am (UTC)I know, there's a loud argument in favour of staying, "to do the job right", but the longer the US stays, the more Iraqis are going to die and the more redical and viscious the eventual winners will be.
The only way the US could "stabilize the situation" would be to send in another a million or so troops (which they don't have) and kill about the same number - or more - Iraqis.
As it stands, the only reasonable thing to do would be to pull out - it would be better for Iraq and it would even be better for the United States, if not necessarily for George W. Bush.
