So CNN has called Colorado's Amendment 36 defeated. Amendment 36 would split Colorado's 9 electoral votes as is done in Maine and Nebraska. Why the hell would someone be against this if they believed in, say, democracy?
One thing I've heard as to why states don't do proportional electoral voting is because states with few electoral votes would get ignored all together. I'm from Indiana, so we're ignored anyways - but Iowa and New Hampshire would risk getting any attention.
I'm not sure if that's how I feel about it - just passing along the theory.
