the_siobhan and I are in Las Vegas. At the Luxor. We're surrounded by the most garishly decadent faux-Egyptian stuff you can imagine. Everytime I see hieroglyphics on the walls I find myself wondering is Tam could read them. I'm certain some decorator decided to write nasty messages in Egyptian hieroglyphs. "Go ahead! Gamble your fortunes away, you useless jackasses!"
Tonight we're seeing blue men.

Date: 2004-02-08 08:22 am (UTC)Are you surrounded by pseudo-Egyptian techno music? There was an ad for the Luxor on often in LA a few years back that had this (actually really good) Egyptian style drum and bass-y kind of thing going on. I swore I'd go if only they'd play that stuff all the time. :)

Oh, and follow the Polynesians around. They're the only ones who seem to be GENUINELY having fun.
Have fun on the road of excess,
