Sep. 17th, 2021 05:02 pmDo you stream / record video / do YouTube stuff?
Would you be willing to tell me about your sound and video set up? What about editing? Something else?

Date: 2021-09-18 01:08 am (UTC)I've helped my partner and an activist make a video for a refugee on hunger strike once. We didn't have a mic so I bought a Snowball mic from Canada Computers. They shot the video on a Nikon 7100. We edited the piece on Da Vinci Resolve, which was neat.
Different case: My partner has started recording the multi-screen university course she teaches on Panopto, a weird but simplistic-in-a-good-way web-based tool for teachers. (Did you know you can record 1+GB of video from your browser and then upload it through a simple web interface? I'm a web developer and I had no idea. (I think you're a dev too? I forget.))
People use ring lights these days. Also, if you wear glasses, you need to angle your light/face differently to not have screen glare in them being recorded. That's annoying if you're planning to face a bright screen.
Bluetooth anything introduces some latency and limits sound quality. I cringe every time I see a person doing a zoom call on TV wearing AirPods.
