Spoilerific questionings of sense and outward things

There's a theory flying around the intertubes that we're going to discover that River is Amy's daughter (and, quite possibly, the little girl from this season's pilot.) I don't know if this is true, but it seems like the kind of thing that's likely to happen.

In the order in which we view things, River "first" meets Amy in "Time of the Angels." The Doctor even introduces Amy to River, but River merely smiles. Now, in the context of the show, she's already met Amy, because in her timeline, she's already experienced "The Pandorica Opens" and "The Big Bang".

In "The Big Bang," however, River doesn't know who Rory is. He's just "the Roman soldier." So, um. What happens to Rory? I mean, if Rory is River's father, why doesn't she know him? I don't think he's going to die because, well, the show has killed him so many times that I don't think we'd believe another death. But I think he's going to make a major sacrifice of some sort that's going to take him out of the show.

Given the other theories flying around that the astronaut is the Doctor and Amy's daughter (I really hope not!!!), that would just be weird.

In another though though, that icon is absolutely adorable!
