The Toronto Poly group met on Sunday night; it was a smaller turn-out (only six people), but I got to know some of the people there a bit better than I had when there were twenty.
Last night, I went to see Bob the therapist. I talked about the stuff going on with Borden, and he gave me some new thoughts to chew on.
Also, yesterday, I went to buy some books. I picked up a copy of Games People Play. Siobhan had suggested this book last weekend.
Siobhan was the one who originally pointed out that Borden has a lot invested in presenting herself as a survivor: as one who has survived Bad Stuff because she's Strong. And that's not untrue -- she has dealt with a lot of Bad Stuff and her strength is a big reason for her survival. But there's a saying about one's only tool being a hammer and all that, and I find it interesting that sees it as necessary to present me as something that needed to be survived.
