Oct. 5th, 2010 09:01 pmIt is excellent to hear that ‘[t]oday, the regulations that govern U.S.-funded human medical research prohibit these kinds of appalling violations.’ Nowadays, who could even imagine, say, Brazilian officials shutting down a project wherein American doctors, funded and supported by the NIH & University of Florida, attempted to infect human guinea pigs with a deadly disease (pdf) for which treatment was not offered?
