When the Republican convention happened in St. Paul (just a few blocks from my new home, as a matter of fact), the police forces of Minneapolis and St. Paul wentquitefascist. They're getting sued by Amy Goodman, but most of the court action following the convention has been about convicting "anarchists". *sigh* The police departments of Minneapolis and St. Paul were already pretty despicable in my estimation; that brought them even lower.
