Feministe pointed out this post about Brain Sex theories and the way that "trans activists" (but really, talking about Twue Twanssexuals!) use those theories.

Feministe describes it as a "thoughtful post" and suggests that the author is a paragon of discussing the issue in the blog comments.

I don't know what, precisely, is triggering me but there's something about the post that completely sets my teeth on edge. Usually I like stuff that's critical of Brainsex-like theories; this post, not so much.

Maybe it's the throwaway comments like, "The term cis privilege is used to silence all critiques of brain sex activism." Riiight.

That's a classic demonstration of "Let me set up this strawman and show you all how well I can demolish it". I admit I haven't read that much brain sex activism literature, but if anyone actually holds the strawman position, I can't imagine many trans people actually take zir seriously.
