I don't have a great understanding thus far, but:
1. The deposed president was a populist, who wanted to hold a referendum to overturn a term limit on the presidency.
2. The congress voted a law prohibiting the referendum.
2. The law was challenged in the courts, and the Honduran Supreme Court said, "no."
3. Zelaya said he'd ignore the court's decision.
4. The congress went into special session.
5. Then the military showed up.
