Post Surgical Conversation

Patient: That hurt.
bcholmes: It was surgery
Patient: Oddly it wasn't the laser. It was the metal clamps that hold your eyes open.
bcholmes: Yeah, I saw that. Reminded me of A Clockwork Orange.
(pause)
bcholmes: I was gonna play Beethoven's Ninth, but...
Patient: You thought it would be rude?
bcholmes: Yeah.

LASIK, I presume? I don't remember any lasers or metal clamps for that other thing, but I was asleep at the time....

The OH's favorite movie is Singin' in the Rain and he doesn't understand the extent to which my having watched A Clockwork Orange first makes certain parts of that movie weird to me.
