One thing I really like about the holiday season -- eggnog. I love eggnog. But I haven't had it in 10+ years. Until tonight.

Now, I find myself reflecting on how some things rilly, rilly upset my mild lactose intolerance, and some things don't. And how sometimes I stop having the things that rilly, rilly upset my lactose intolerance, and maybe I shouldn't give in to nostalgia.

LactAid makes eggnog, if you're lucky enough to be in a big market where the stores will carry it.

I've found some recipes online for eggnog with soy milk (http://www.recipezaar.com/Eggnog-With-Soymilk-272978).

My family's tradition was to buy a carton of eggnog, stick it in the back of the fridge, and throw away the old carton that had been there since last Christmas. We've stopped doing that because we never figured out who it was that actually wanted eggnog.

I quite like Silk Nog (eggnog flavored soy milk). I don't know if it's available in your neck of the woods though.

I was going to recommend that too. Silk Nog is great.

it is! I'm vegan, and it's the only part of this wretched season that I like.

I understand completely where you're coming from - I'm lactose intolerant as well, but I must have my ice cream, and at Christmas, my egg nog.

There are some good no dairy egg nog suggestions here - http://www.godairyfree.org/200812012982/News/Nutrition-Headlines/Dairy-Free-and-Vegan-Consumers-Should-Imbibe-with-Caution-During-the-Holidays.html
