Ponder-y Stuff

This post on Feministing poses ten question that the author suggests she's still sorting out. This one grabbed my attention:

When do I focus on being right and when do I focus on being effective?

I can't summarize all the reasons why this question is particularly resonant with me, but it is, and I have the ponder.

I think once you hit 40 and over, effective means more than right. Because previous to 40 you are always proving yourself right.
