Rain, Rain go Away

It rained last night. Just as I was heading back to the guest house. And I mean torrential downpour. I can see how flooding happens, here. The main road, Delmas, which runs down the mountain from Petyonvil to Pòtoprens acted like a channel, sending a constant river of ankle-deep water down the road. Later, when I was on the side-street, Delmas 33, I hit a large area where the entire road and sidewalk was submerged in knee-deep water. There is no sewer system, and the roads haven't really been designed to direct water.

I got wetter than I've been in a long time.
