Electoral Vote
Aug. 2nd, 2008 09:57 amYesterday, Electoral-Vote.com listed 10 alternative U.S. presidential candidates:
- Gene Amondson (Prohibition Party)
- Chuck Baldwin (Constitution Party)
- Bob Barr (Libertarian Party)
- Roger Calero (Socialist Workers Party)
- Charles Jay (Boston Tea Party)
- Gloria La Riva (Party for Socialism and Liberation)
- Frank McEnulty (New American Independent Party) (no Wikipedia page)
- Cynthia McKinney (Green Party)
- Ted Weill (Reform Party) (no Wikipedia page)
I like alternative parties and I think it's unfortunate that so much social apparatus works to make alternative parties look like the crazy fringe.
Based solely on their Wikipedia entries, Gloria La Riva looks like the most interesting alternative candidate, what with her having worked on the "Free the Cuban Five" stuff.
It's also a bit weird to see the the Prohibition Party is still kicking.
