bcholmes: mad, in a coma, or back in time? (i had an accident)

When I was buying my first house, I read a book on the topic. One thing in that book has stuck in my brain since. The book talked about how to make offers and it recounted that many people think that the worst a home-seller could say is "no." In fact, the book went on to suggest, the worst thing they could say is "fuck you" and become less willing negotiate a price.

Me, I think that's advice for life.

I'm always interested in improving my life skills. Do you have any books you want to recommend, such as this one maybe (if you recommend it), or others on any topics that gave you deep life skills or advice.

i think that in today's home-selling environment, "fuck you" is very unlikely. and i have to say that when i sold my first house, i longed to say "fuck you" but resisted because i just wanted it over with. but i still think it's good life advice.
