Where does that song come from...?

When I was a kid, I spent some summers in a day camp. Camp Saredaca. Each morning, Monday to Friday, a bus would come around and take me to the camp. And we'd start the morning singing the Saredaca song:
Saredaca, Saredaca, Saredaca true
Saredaca, Saredaca, Saredaca true
I love the mountains
And the sky so blue
I love exploring
Through the bushes too
I love to live
And live to love
For all these wonderful things...Saredaca, Saredaca, Saredaca true
Saredaca, Saredaca, Saredaca true...
It's almost the same tune as the Discovery Channel / xkcd tune that's been making the rounds. I wonder where that tune originates...? Until now, I've only ever known it as the Saredaca song.

I love the rolling hills,
I love the flowers,
I love the daffodils.
I love the fireside
When all the lights are low.
Boom dee a da, boom dee a da
Boom dee a da, boom dee a da
