But Persepolis is about Iran during the Islamic Revolution. And it isn't from Disney/Pixar. Now, if it were about a pig who cooks during the Islamic Revolution, and made with slick CG animation, then it may have won.
At least the rat movie didn't win for best original screenplay. That would have made me ill.
I agree that they were robbed based on the <30 seconds I saw of the movie on the Oscars. I really would like to see the movie - I will have to look to see if they will be playing it at the university. I don't know why, but I cannot seem to follow foreign fills llike I used to. I miss seeing a variety of films.
