bcholmes: I’m covered in bees! (bee sea)

Y'know, some days I think I'm the most boring person on the Internet. And some days I think I'm just never going to have a normal life. Maybe both of those things are true.

As they say: embrace the healing power of 'and'.

I know that responses where people refute the poster's perceptions often don't read the way the writer thought they would, so I'll be clear that I'm not trying to say that your feeling these things isn't legitimate. I just also felt like noticing that reading this practically cause me to blow some sort of mental circuit, because I think of you as one of the more interesting people I've ever met, and that includes your internet presence -- I find your journal to be one of the most interesting I read and I really look forward to your posts.

I wonder if everyone feels like they're the most boring person in a given social space (I know that I often feel that way) simply because they're embedded in themselves all the time, so their own thoughts and words don't feel fresh and always trigger that, "This has been said and thought before," feeling for them.

Hee! BC thinks she might be boring! *snorfle*

I hardly ever post a comment here -- many times the discussion is flying higher and faster than I have the time and energy to engage. But I always enjoy reading the posts and commentary here. And BC remains on my default friends page for that reason -- not on my secondary friends pages.

(er... the anonymous post above was me... I hate it when LJ logs me out but doesn't tell me. That post can be deleted.)

Yeah, golly - boring?! She's not here to "entertain us" is she - we're hear to read what she says because we care.

"AND" is a lot better than "BUT".

It may be part of my current depressed state has to do with not being 'normal'. But when most people say 'normal', what they really mean is 'average'. You're neither dear. Try 'exceptional' instead!

You are anything but boring! Maybe you've been reading too many war-zone bloggers or something. :)

And I feel a little sorry for those with "normal" lives.

*bzzt* thank you for playing.

Go spend 5 minutes in some random chat room.

Normal lives are over-rated, and the healing power of "and" is under-rated.

Go you!

I hardly think you are boring considering you explore ideas and places many people never consider. Just because you have not robbed a speeding train or discovered aliens living under the ocean doesn't mean you are boring.

And as for normal, I know its often a dirty word but I am beginning to think that it is normal for Humans to be constantly in motion, seeking new places, ideas, and situations. Those not seeking the above are seeking stability in their lives, which is wonderful but not any more or less normal than what you do.

Just my 2 lunars on the subject
