Wikipedia doesn't just pedantically document the status quo; it also rigorously identifies any non-mainstream ideas and tries to remove them so that sensitive types don't have to be exposed to them.

Indeed. It seems to have survived deletion twice before, and while I don't fully understand the process, this complaint seems to be essentially unfounded. The "criticism" section of the page seems to be quite rich in arguments against the existence or importance of white privilege, and my understanding is that that is sufficient balance for a "controversial" article.

But it makes me wonder how often a reasonable observer would have found me to be this much of an asshat when I was a news.groupie.
