Up the Learning Curve without a Rope

So a few weeks ago, I knew nothing about interlacing, 1080/60i, HDV versus HD, pulldown removal, 24p, nor information about most CODECs. Trying to get a nice quality DVD has been quite the learning experience.

My camera verges on being too complicated for me.

You're making movies too? I went the ueber-cheap and amateur route. Sounds like you had a budget for fancy equipment! :)
