Why Can't Life Imitate Art?

I watched The West Wing tonight. President Bartlett is an erudite, articulate, well-intentioned, left-wing statesman, and he out-debates his opponent with extremely well-stated positions. The non-fictional president is a petulant buffoon.

Please tell me that the Democrats are gonna kick out lotsa Republicans in the upcoming election.

i am watching it as i'm reading this, and man, do i feel the same. it's beyond disappointing. i haven't actually respected a US president since carter.

I've got my fingers crossed. I wish I could be more reassuring.

Of course, my US Representative and both my Senators are Democrats, so my vote couldn't improve matters any. And it looks like our Republican governor is going to run away with the election, but I'll be there to vote against him anyway. I just wish the alternative were more impressive.

*shake head* I can't believe we elected Alfred E. Neumann. Oh wait -- that's right, we didn't. :-/

Goddess, I hope so. I also in a rare moment of tv watching, saw the ep and I LOVED the debate. It was great and very funny. I'm hoping that we have a shitload of dems get in and shove it up bush's bleep, cause I am totally fed up with this pres.
