Jed Hartman is talking about 1980s pop music: "99 Luftballons", Peter Schilling's "Major Tom (Coming Home)", and A-ha's "Take on Me". And me, I'm transported back to grade 13. Working camera at the little tiny TV station filming segments of a video countdown show that aired on the community filler channel, Rogers Cable 6. Of course you have to add Gowan's "Criminal Mind" and the Eurythmics "Sweet Dreams" to make the mid-80s flashback complete. I YouTubed "Take on Me" and while it's still a great video (complete with Altered States-esque ending), I couldn't get over the 80s hair!

I may eventually have to break down and actually get mine styled that way. In the actual 80s, my hair was never more than one inch long. I should make up for lost time and missed fashion, methinks.
