BSG

There have been some weak episodes, recently. "The Woman King" was pretty bad, and "Taking a Break From All Your Worries" was a convoluted nightmare. Last week was better, but tonight was great. Class issues in the rag-tag fleet. Amazing scene with Tyrol and Baltar (that resonates with me in a big way; I don't have the same accent as my family).

Next week is the really big deal week. If the rumours are true, I'm gonna take it really hard.

Rumours are that a "major" character dies next episode. Like, major enough to change the opening credits. There's a pretty clear consensus about who that'll be, too.

I have killed the cable; but it apparently takes them 30 days to find the "off" switch.

I'm still watching somewhere in season 2...

...but I'll lay you odds that it's eitehr the president, or the 2IC to Adama.

Meh. Whatever.

(Really, I'm just kidding. I think BSG is extremely well-crafted and well-written -- high quality stuff. I think I'm just in a less drama, less filling mode right now. And I no longer have to dodge spoilers.)

Nice shiny new Toronto layout you're sporting, though! :D

It's funny...

I know a lot of people who absolutely HATE the new version, but I think the bottom line is that characterisation is good, and continuity even better. I love the way they have ongoing stories that closer and closer to a knife edge resolution.

Then again, I'm also currently working my way through the complete series of B5, and that's much teh same thing too.

So who is Roslin? Apparently I'm to play Roslin in the a.g remake of the story.

Roslin's the president. Perfectly captures the "iron fist in a velvet glove" character type.

Caution: she never appends "you meathead" on any of her orders.
