New Jory Nash CD: Folk Jazz Blues & Soul. Just got back from the CD release party. I was especially looking forward to having a recording of his cover of "Fly Me To The Moon". But I think I've instantly become fond of his (original) song, "Careful How You Break My Heart". There's a beautiful cello part, and it's a gorgeous song.

The moment you knew that I knew
We were through
The will was gone, the fortune true
But I need to know the part that comes after you
After you... after you

Jory performed a few pieces from earlier CDs. "The Ballad of Easy Chair", "The Flyer", "So Much Larger Than Life", and "Spaz Loves Weezie". A few others. But no "Terrible Man", and no "Waiting for the Animals to Come", which are among my favourites. Oh well.

I wish I could have made the CD launch! I'm out in Whitby and it's too late a night getting back here for work in the morning..Jory gave me a CD at the Lightfoot Tribute show a couple of weeks ago and it is wonderful. I have heard him do several of the times before but as usual his recorded versions are fabulous.
I told him yesterday that each day has a new favourite for me when I listen to it..
I miss hearing him sing "Waiting for the Animals to Come" too! First heard it a few years ago in New Jersey at a house concert!
I'm hoping to see some pictures floating around...
