I Like To Eat... Green Apples and Bananas!

I love my Mac; I really do. My cow-orker brought his new MacBook Pro into the office on Wednesday, and I was drooling over it. Last time a cow-orker brought a Mac product into the office, I ended up buying my own.

And, um. I really, really like the MacBook. So I was chatting with the_siobhan and she pointed me toward this Greenpeace campaign to push for a greener Apple. This page showing a comparative ranking of the various electronics manufacturers is also worth linking to.

And it was all a bit sad-making. Yes, I know that other companies have evil-ness in different areas. Yes, I believe that it's next to impossible to make perfect consumer choices (although "buy less" seems like a good general strategy). But I must confess that I'm probably going to put off considering a purchase, at least for a while.
