Killer Attack Womb Removal, Part the First

I dropped off the_siobhan at the hospital about twenty minutes ago. As I understand it, she's going under the knife around about 8:30. She didn't want anyone with her while she waited.

For those of you who don't know, Siohban has a Killer Attack Womb. It's a condition called adenomyosis, and it's caused Siobhan considerable pain over the last six years.

I told Siobhan that I'll pop in to the hospital this afternoon and watch her sleeping. I'll post something here to let people know how the surgery went.

Aak! She has my sympathy. I've got it too (as far as we can tell), but a much more minor version. I had flooding but much less pain than Siobhan. (Flooding gone and cramping reduced now, thanks to a foreign object named Mirena.) And I'd do damn near anything to avoid general anesthetic, so I can get an idea of why she put this step off so long. Hauling out organs is a big decision.

Hope the recovery goes well and that she finds herself pain-free very soon!
