Whhoooot! Canadians rock! I can't remember the last time I felt proud of a member of my birth-religion. I'd doff my hat to those priests, if I wore one.
In my recent church "shopping", I have had three Presbyterian ministers speak to me of their open lesbianness as if, you know, it was no big deal. I don't know about you, but I *love* being on the winning side of an unstoppable force for once.
I think this is especially bold, considering Cardinal Ratzinger silenced liberation theology (which worked to address the social problems that caused poverty, not just band aid them as Mother Theresa did) and attempted to silence the sex abuse scandal in the US. They're likely to get kicked out of the church, if anything.
