Felicity-ations!

Felicity Huffman got a Golden Globe award for her portrayal of a trans woman in TransAmerica. I thought the movie was pretty cute, but not high art, and I think that the character Huffman plays is one of those cases where you bury your face in your hands and say "Oh, God, it's so true!"

Hm. Cute but not high art can be good, but last time I checked it was only playing at the Varsity, which I've never much liked as a venue (at least, since they changed their VIP screening rooms to not be a luxury experience any longer). I keep meaning to see it, but every time there's something I'm equally interested in playing at a theatre I like better.

I am so ashamed to say I have'nt seen it yet...with the move and all the drama around the new house I haven't had any time to see hardly anything or even have a night out.

If you say it is good I shall make an effort to go see it....and I agree NOT high art is sometimes good.
