Running Windows Updates this morning, I was asked to agree to some licensing agreements. Found this buried in the middle of one of them.

You may not disclose the results of any benchmark test of the .NET Framework component of the OS Components to any third party without Microsoft's prior written approval.

I have an attitude towards agreements like that. I click "I agree" and know damned well that I won't follow it.

They had some great clauses in their M$ Agent SDK (the little thing that will help you make replacements for the dreaded Paperclip Of No-Help). One in particular caught my eye. It basically said that the text that came out of your Agent could in no way disparage M$ or any of their products.

Niiiiice.

I cannot find the information now, probably because the whole Agent thing died a well-deserved death...
