Two Films

I was fairly unimpressed with Aeon Flux. I thought I might like it but it was just too derivative a story, in my opinion. I did like the design aspects of the film. I thought it had an interesting take on what future tech will look like.

On the other hand, I quite enjoyed Syriana. As I was walking out of the theatre, I overheard a group talking about how it had no plot, and I thought: "did you see the same movie I did?"

...this yet, but considering that the originals (which I have seen) were five minute fillers on MTV, what could one expect?

I too saw Syriana, and after reading in the New Yorker that it would be confusing, I expected the same. Not only was it not confusing but I thoroughly enjoyed it. However, there were two 60's-ish woman sitting behind me, and though I didn't pay to hear them talk through the movie, they were lost the entire time.
