Peter Hallward in Toronto

Tomorrow night (Monday) Peter Hallward, author of Damming the Flood: Haiti, Aristide and the Politics of Containment, will be presenting. In my opinion, Hallward's book is the first exceptional analysis of the 2004 Haitian coup, and this will probably be the most important speaker on the topic to come to Toronto.

The session will take place at the Thomas Lounge (inside Oakham House) 63 Gould Street at Ryerson Univerisity. It starts at 7:00pm and admission is free.

If you only see one event related to Haiti all year, this is the one to see.
