Say it With Film
May. 31st, 2008 12:59 pmThe Lovinsky situation left me not terribly fond of the Foreign Affairs ministry, so I'm feeling a bit of yay about the Bernier kerfuffle.
In 1989, I saw Scandal, a film about the Profumo Affair and my former film prof, Brenda Longfellow, made a film called Gerda about the Gerda Munsinger scandal. I'm currently imagining the usual crop of Canadian actors in a made-for-TV movie. Perhaps Aaron Douglas could play Bernier and Gabrielle Miller (Lacey, from Corner Gas) could play Coulliard. David Hewlett (McKay from Stargate Atlantis) could make a good Stephen Harper. He wouldn't even have to play the character much differently.
