Apparently Baron Black wants his Canadian citizenship back. Black relinquished his Canadian citizenship to bypass the Nickle Resolution. This is an interesting quotation:

As things now stand, if Black were convicted and receives a prison sentence, his decision to renounce his citizenship would likely scuttle any chance for him to request a transfer to a Canadian jail. Only Canadian citizens can seek a transfer here from a jail elsewhere.

OH Karmic lashback
That brings the mighty
Back to where their choice did pass
That sweet irony's gentle lips
Can ope' to bite them
Hard and sharp upon the ass

By which I mean..

Bwahahahahaaha! I think if he wants to be a canadian citizen, he can damned well apply as a new fucking immigrant. And might I add, the process clearly limits the possibility for those who are either convicted criminals or in the process of becoming one.

I concur. The man obviously wants to have his cake and eat it, too. Citizenship isn't something you should be able to put down and pick up whenever it's convenient.

I have long been galled by that man's obnoxious sense of entitlement. I'm glad to see that he may finally get some comeuppance.

What's the point of having cake if you can't eat it?
