Film Festival

Despite the fact that I love film and I live in Toronto (where no community can be said to be really serious until it has its own film festival), I've never really made an effort to get out to the Toronto International Film Festival (film festival for the film-watching community).

That changes this year. I've just gone through the incredibly complicated process of choosing my films. These people need an online sign-up process, I'm telling you. I should get my tickets on Monday or Tuesday.

Apparently, it's more than just the one place. I wandered over to the grocery store near work, and as I wandered down to catch my streetcar, I discovered that the Hairspray movie crew has transformed a good part of the neighbourhood into the 1960s.
