When I was a Kid
Sep. 14th, 2004 10:24 pmSome time ago, some people posted things that they used to believe as kids. I tried to think of interesting things that I used to believe, but they all sound really dumb now.
One story I was thinking about was how I confused the words "booze" and "boogers" when I was really young. I remember visiting my grandmother once when I was, like, five and she was serving some dessert and she looked at me and say, "you might not want one of the desserts. It has booze in it."
Now that sounded very strange to me, but all the adults seemed unfazed by this, so I said that I'd have one.
So my grandmother brought out these ice cream desserts topped with Creme de Menthe. They were the brightest and most stomach-turning shade of green you could imagine.
In many ways, I was a very dumb kid.
