Lwa of the Marketplace
Jun. 8th, 2005 09:20 amThe red building in this picture is the iron market in Port-au-Prince. I took this picture on the first day I arrived, a Sunday morning. Because it's a Sunday, the market is suprisingly empty. Most days, the road is packed with people and tables and stalls. There's often a big production when a larger-than-average car or truck tries to get through one of the roads.
These two pictures were taken at the market in Jacmel several days later.
I find the markets in Haiti really fascinating.
