Pope on a Rope

There are too many popes in my city. News coverage far in excess of any royal visit or media celebrity.

Should I go see the Pope? I mean, heck, I'm not Catholic (although the bastards baptized me at birth 'cause I was born in Catholic hospital -- in Sarnia, only the Catholic hospital had a maternity ward).

I mean, when the Dalai-Lama comes in 2004, I'm almost certainly gonna go see him -- and I'm not really a Buddhist. Religions of the world fascinate me. So why not go see the Pope?

Truth is, I expect the guy to be deadly dull. Maybe I'm only interested in fun, hip religions? (And is there a Problem with that? Is fun-and-hip-ness too stringent a requirement to have of religions?)

I wouldn't go cause Christianity is downright scary. I don't care if that is how I was raised. There is more shit done in the name of the christian god than practically any other...*fur bristling* I got into this huge discussion with a philosophy/religion major last night about god and humanity and a whole bunch of other stuff. Ergo, I am feeling deep and barely awake as I just got up. anyway, welcome back, hope you feel better.
