Seriously. This is why I'm proud to live here. Canadians still have a face and a name. They're not just an anonymous corporately-defined "populace" to be manipulated. This is especially keen given the debate about heckling W when he was here.
What I don't get is why his school was going to suspend him. What was his crime? Having an opinion? Asking a question? Sure, he wasn't tactful about it, but I wasn't aware that tactlessness was now a punishable offence.
School is about teaching people to follow authority. If he got in trouble with someone higher up than the school, the school would therefore have to follow suit.
Canada's starting to look a little too good compared to the US; and some people are getting ready to do something about it (http://billmon.org/archives/001701.html)....
