Trans News Clippings

I used to get trans-related news clippings from AEGIS (which later became GAIM). The last time I went a-hunting for GAIM, the e-mail addresses appear to have disappeared from the face of the Internets. Is there a successor to GAIM?

I'm particularly interested in finding clippings of articles describing trans-related murders (for a writing project). Anyone know of a good repository?

actually, is was GAIN... i was the editor for its last two years.

the best overall general trans news source is the yahoogroup, transgendernews. eurotransgender is also quite good, and does sometimes carry material not picked up by or forwarded to transgendernews.

you can also contact gwen smith for an archive of murder-specific info and clippings. she's sort of the repository for that sort of thing, along with ethan.

There are a few on livejournal, as well. tg_politics, I think, is one; transfeminism another, which often have posts about that kind of thing. Check my communities - I'm not at home, and I'm on dialup where I am, or I'd look for you. :)

i don't know how well it would work for you, but i've combined a gmail account and the googlenews alert service to go to work for me regarding landcape stuff. maybe that would work for you? i have six invites if you'd like one. the account i set up is just for landscape news, nothing else.
