Blog/Wiki Software
Sep. 21st, 2004 11:09 amI'm looking for software recommendations. I'm looking for something that's:
- Open-source
- Java-based
- Handles blogs and Wikis
- Preferably using HTML for markup
I've played with SnipSnap a fair bit, and I like it, but I'm not crazy about the Raedox mark-up. (HTML is a perfectly good markup language, I figure).
Also, I really like a lot of the features of Blojsom (especially the developers API), but it doesn't do Wikis.
Anyone tried anything else?

Date: 2004-09-21 08:23 am (UTC)I'm using wordpress (wordpress.org open source) along with an ewiki-based plugin for wordpress called wikiwiki. The whole thing is done in PHP with XHTML + CSS (I think?) and uses a mysql backend to house the data. Check out www.sbum.org if you want to see what I've done with it.

Date: 2004-09-21 02:27 pm (UTC)the java wikis i have on my list beside snipsnap are:
xwiki (http://www.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Main/WebHome)
jspwiki (http://www.jspwiki.org/)
vqwiki (http://veryquickwiki.croninsolutions.com/)
confluence (http://www.atlassian.com/software/confluence/default.jsp) is commercial, but i know it does blog/wiki both.
i haven't tried any of those, since java isn't one of my languages yet. :)
