I'm torn. I'm so very torn.

On the one hand, that sort of outwardly directed self-loathing must stop. On the other hand...fuck.

I dunno, but yah..disturbing and it sucks from every direction.
Where do we turn when all that's left is a moral plain? There is no more high ground.

It's a tough issue and everyone's mileage varies. I, however, personally support outing of (and ONLY of) anyone who makes public homophobic statements, and/or takes public homophobic positions.

While I am of mixed minds on the question of "outing" in general, I definitely favor the outing of closeted homosexuals who are actively working towards the harm of other homosexuals. Ed Schrock was about as unambiguous a case of that as one can find in America this side of John Wayne Gacy.

Shrock does seem like a pretty unambiguous case. And it's usually the rare case where I think "no, this sort of thing is wrong in all possible cases" about a particular course of action.

But, man, a big part of me is saying, "This crosses a horrible line."
