Well, from a scientific (i.e., non-metaphoric) perspective, it depends on the minimum value of the coefficient of static friction, below which you have defined as slippery, the angle of the slope and the magnitude of the gravitational potential encompassing the space-time region in question. I’m assuming you’re in a vacuum, of course… ;)
of course it isn't, and the persistent warning against it is just an excuse for inertia. moralist rightists use it to threaten the end of the civlization as we know it should even the simplest liberalism be advanced, and moralist leftists use it to waffle their principles into vapor lest taking any strong stand make them "just the same" as their antagonists.
