More and more, in the last few days, I'm hearing my friends say the same thing that I've thought for some time: that the real liability for the Liberals is Paul Martin.
This article talks about how the Liberal campaign might have been different if Chrétien were still the leader.
If the Conservatives do win, do you think Martin will resign?

Date: 2004-06-18 01:44 pm (UTC)It seems like he dedicated himself so much to internal Liberal politics to become P.M. that he forgot how to handle public politics.
I'd say his survival, if/when he loses depends on how aggressively and effectively Chretiens successor (whoever that may be) attacks him.
If whoever it is, is even half decent, Martin will be out on his ear in no time.
After all, just look at the speed he's pissing away a huge majority.
