So the institution of Marriage is pretty well trashed now, then, eh? I mean, we here in the states know that same-sex marriage will destroy the sanctity of marriage, so up there in Canada where it's been happening for a year y'all must be pretty completely debauched by now, right?
One fascinating tidbit in the wikipedia article was the rapid change in public acceptance as surveyed, between 2001 and 2004. Just as with the capital-punishment question and the abortion question, by the time Parliament gets around to codifying the practice, everyone will assume it's a done deal and they won't try to change the status quo.
today i am enjoying my right to marry anyone i might happen to love along with my public healthcare, decriminalized pot, right to privacy and widely available contraception.
