So I was watching the CBC news earlier this evening and saw an interview with a guy named Paul Wells, a political journalist for Macleans magazine -- a major Canadian newsmag.

Bizarro. Paul Wells used to live on the other side of the park where I grew up. He shared my love for comics, and he had a phase where he was into model rockets. He taught me a few tricks about how to draw superheroes. He was a year or two ahead of me in school, and I didn't really talk to him at all after about grade five. But I saw him on TV and I said, "Hey, I know that guy."

LOL That kind of stuff never happens to me. You will probably think this odd, but as I was reading your LJ just now, I heard your voice in my head. I just wanted to say, you have a lovely voice.

That's really cool.
Since you knew him as a child, do you feel like you can accept him in the capacity of political journalist? I mean, sometimes that's a weird transition (I went to school with a guy who is a doctor on our insurance now-I won't use him)...but sometimes it's a natural progression.

My moment was watching Muchmusic in Kenya with Worldvision and seeing someone from my old scout troop being dragged on screen as the guy who had put the whole thing together.
