I often like films that are slow and pretty to look at. But, uh, The Tree of Life is really pushing on my patience.

I couldn't care. F. liked it because it did a lot with unspoken moments. Meh.

You could try Days of Heaven. Also Terence Malick, also incredibly beautiful, probably less slow. And Badlands is not slow at all.
