Though your analysis is lacking,
It seems TV's been airing progress.
Shows like Queer as Folk and Ellen
Make it all look quite appealing

But let me tell you that my lifestyle doesn't feel much like a sitcom
Since being queer still skates this fine line
Where love and fear are deeply entwined
The law's no guarantee against violent discrimination
People's fear still knows no regulation

And when you see me walking down the street
Hand in hand with my girlfriend
We're not just a market
We're a target.
