Why I am a cranky-pants who will never love Miami

I didn't take a coat with me to Haiti. Because, y'know, Haiti is in the Caribbean. I had a sweater for travel, but no coat.

People said to me, "you're going back to Toronto without a coat? Won't that be cold?" To which I said, "well, I think it'll work out the same as getting here. I went from my home to a limo, from the limo to the airport and from the airport to an air plane." I was really only "outside" for a few moments. I would add, "the worst part will be the few minutes I'm waiting to catch a limo back to my place."

I didn't take Miami International Airport into consideration in this plan. Fucking freezing. People were in foetal positions, trying to hold in their heat. Bundled up in coats and hats. I saw people putting on their mittens and gloves. Indoors. In Florida. What. The. Fuck?
