Holding Variables Constant
Apr. 5th, 2009 12:22 pmThe big job this weekend is doing my cartooning homework. I've been working on a rough version for a few weeks, finalizing the images and colours. Now I'm transcribing it all on to good paper for the final version.
Part of me is nervous about introducing too much change. I've had to switch nibs (my old crowquill was starting to give me problems, and my lettering nib was in bad shape), and I've got a good watercolour paper that I've never used before. So, I've been tempted to keep using the same ink, but I've started using a higher-quality Windsor and Newton ink. Oh. Em. Gee. I finally get why my prof has advocated good ink. This stuff rocks so totally. But now I wish I'd had more practice with it.
